I got this for my 2024 Z900RS with the silver and red pinstripes! It installs pretty easy, id say the instructions were lacking a little, but its very easy once you get an eye on everything.
The fairing its self is well made and good quality that fits to the bike well and is fairly easy to install. I ordered the mono colour version that was supposed to match the colour of the 2024 z900rs yellow ball, candy tone green, unfortunately it wasn't a very good match so I had to get it resprayed. Delivery by FedEx priority to the UK was very quick.View Detail
The seller has excellent communication skills.Manufacturing times are long, but they are met.(The reliability of Japanese commitments is exemplary.)The packaging is large and padded enough to withstand international logistical constraints.This is a very good product. Its workmanship is excellent, the paintwork impeccable, and it fits perfectly without modification.The end result is magnificent.The bracket provided to replace the headlight bracket bolts is very well designed. The rubber rings inserted into the fairing holes are equipped with a metal spacer that allows them to be tightened until they lock without straining the fiberglass.I recommend using a drop of medium (blue) threadlocker to prevent accidental loosening due to vibration.Areas for improvement, because unfortunately, nothing is ever perfect or completely to your liking:- The yellow color doesn't exactly match the Kawasaki "yellow ball." However, it is perfectly acceptable.(My Z9000 RS SE is new, with only 600 km on the odometer, so no sun discoloration.)- The windshield hardware is rigidly attached, and the shoulder nuts are not nylon-locked. Don't overtighten, and apply a drop of threadlocker. Soft, clear plastic washers are provided to prevent paint damage when tightening, but I would have preferred retractable rubber mounting inserts.- There is only one rigidly attached lower mounting bracket in addition to the semi-flexible side mounts.This is sufficient for riding at reasonable speeds, but if you want to accelerate, the top of the fairing vibrates.Discreet mounting brackets to be used on the switch housings, or better yet, an internal frame like the one on the Z900 RS's café racer fairing, would be ideal.- The smoked windshield scratches too easily: even a clean microfiber cloth leaves tiny scratches visible in the sun.So I protected it with Glastint film.All of this can be resolved without major complications if you're a bit handy and imaginative.In conclusion, despite some minor improvements, I'm delighted with my purchase.About quality and texture. I purchased this mainly for looks and wasn't concerned about it helping with wind deflection. Installation was easy with included directions, but a tight squeeze to place an emblem plate underneath the cowl. Paint matches really well to my 2020 tiger model. It offers some wind deflection, but nothing that completely changes how the bike rides. On rides, the fairing does flex/wobble a lot, so I am looking into a method of securing it for a bit more stability.View Detail
Excellent colour match , easy to install and comes with all fittings. Does vibrate a little with the air flow when riding,could do with something to brace the fairing to stop the vibration . All said it does make the bike look even more retro View Detail
Ordered the CHIC DESIGN Road Comet headlight fairing for my Kawasaki Yellow Ball Z900RS SE. Even though I had to wait 2 months for the item to be made it was well worth the wait. The headlight fairing once received into Webike only took 4 days to be delivery from Japan to New Zealand. The packaging of the headlight fairing was excellent and it arrived in perfect condition. The headlight fairing is well made and colour match is close but not exact, however I would certainly buy again. The instructions are limited and what instructions there are, are not in english. There are a number of Youtube clips out there to watch if you are unsure of installation, however you only need to install 2 brackets and replace 2 bolts into the headlight. All the parts are included in the installation. I would certainly recommend and buy again. View Detail
