The Resolute's TW200

Yamaha's design aesthetics have always been different from those of other bikes, at least today many people think that the YZF-R6 is the best looking bike out of the 600 class, as evidenced by the high used prices. But Yamaha's design thinking did not stop at sports bikes. In the 1990s, Yamaha introduced a "strange" off-road bike, the TW200, which did not have the large wheels commonly found on off-road bikes, but had the fat rear tires known as "winter tires". It has attracted a lot of young fans. In addition, the super idol Takuya Kimura in the idol show "Beautiful Life" riding the TW200 with Takako Tokiwa on a trip, became in the minds of many boys as a must-have two-wheeled chariot, so that the popularity of this bike is unstoppable.

In addition to the "Kimura model" that restores the "Beautiful Life", this time we are going to introduce the Japanese off-road TW200 modified by The Resolute CO.

Bodyworks

Although the original TW200 has a off-road style, it just lacks a retro feel. Therefore, the owner hopes that this modification direction not only retains the original Tracker style, but also adds his own design and ingenuity. The front end uses a lot of electroplated accessories, traditional TRACKER handlebars, a hollow frame and an extended tailstock, and a few Japanese visual elements as embellishments, which is a mainstream Japanese modification method without losing personal characteristics. The Resolute Co., which is responsible for this modification, firstly, made the old gas tank to be patched and polished, then sprayed two layers of primer and then two layers of solid orange, and in order to make the paint more shiny, two additional layers of semi-translucent pearl orange silver powder paint were sprayed, and then several layers of varnish and polish were applied, and the logo stickers on the gas tank and the intire bike were also specially designed by the owner. Design, compared to the use of only well-known modification brand stickers more characteristic.

The owner replaced the original YAMAHA sticker with a very Japanese style Rising Sun flag.

The seat uses HEAVEN's Flat Tracker diamond pattern seat cushion to match the entire Tracker style. The seat cushion is made of 90mm thick foam to reduce fatigue during long hours of driving.

After emptying the original air box under the seat, the owner of the extra space was decorated with different stickers.

The original tool box is also kept as part of the bike, which is practical and decorative.

The owner, of course, was influenced by the Japanese drama "Beautiful Life" and visited a store to make a custom-made strap with the English name "Beautiful Life" to hold the water bottle holder.

The lower engine guard was re-finished with electroplating.

Handle

The steering handlebar is made of Hurrican's plated Tracker handlebar with POSH handlebar heightening seat, which makes the overall riding posture more straight, and the power subway and throttle cable are also made by Hurrican.

Engine

In addition to the appearance of the bike, the owner also put a lot of thought into the power aspects. Although the carburetor FCR28 from Keihin was not used to greatly enhance the horsepower output, the PWK28 with a larger diameter than the original one was used to enhance the power. In addition to the enhanced fuel supply, the air intake and cooling are also enhanced accordingly; the K&N air flow air filter with a waterproof sleeve is used, and a large oil cooler is added to the engine to reduce oil.

The large K&N air flow spacer is equipped with a waterproof case, and the large "mushroom" is easy to see, and the titanium throat is also used.

The TW200 must-have upright oil cooler! Anyone who has seen Takuya Kimura's "Beautiful Life" knows that the oil-cooled exhaust is a standard modification for this bike. The use of a 9-inch, six-row upright oil-cooling makes the cooling performance much better, and the thicker oil-cooling makes the SR more mechanical.

The SPII series of ignition enhancement kits introduced by AS Uotani are believed to be a must-have for many older owners, not only for improving throttle response, but also for providing better acceleration at low and medium rpm.

Intake & Exhaust

The exhaust pipe is made of RS YOKOTA RSY SuperTrapp Full Power 4" aluminum alloy full-stage exhaust pipe. The short and thick diffuser tube provides sufficient back pressure and full power at low and medium rpm, which is very suitable for Tracker style modifications.

Chassis

As for the chassis, in order to present the old style of scrambler, the tailstock is modified with BEAMS extended tailstock, black rear wheel cover from OSCAR, and special chain guide. The bike's lines are slimmer and the off-road feel of the TW200 is more prominent.

The shock uses the YSS Japanese version of the MZ366 type, including preload and rebound adjustable.

With the modification of power and chassis, the brakes should not be sloppily improved. This time, we chose ANCHOR aluminum forged hand pump from Taiwan, together with custom-made steel pipes and Z-WHEEL ZIGRAM front brake discs to improve the brake feel, strength and response.

Electrical

In order to make the bike look like a vintage Tracker, the headlight and speedometer version modifications are also essential. The headlight uses the HURRICANE 4.5-inch Bates headlight kit with a small canopy. The smaller headlight is more compact than the original headlight, and the chrome finish also enhances the overall texture. As for the speedometer version, it is changed from the original square plastic speedometer to DAYTONA's small metal plated round speedometer with indicator light set. The whole version of the speedometer has been modified from the original plain design to highlight the vintage feel of the TW200 itself.

The small plated metal round speedometer with indicator light set by DAYTONA is always the best choice for retro modification.

The Reselote Co. hand-made a special battery box for the battery, ignition computer and fuse box, and of course added a sticker for decoration.
