Unveiling the BULL DOCK GT-M’s Custom Masterpiece: The Z1000 MKII Custom

 10 min read

BULL DOCK's Z1000MkII

The Z1000 MKII features stock lines painted on a green-to-black gradient base color and is complemented by predominantly black parts. It is a complete custom build by BULL DOCK's GT-M (GenuineTuningMachine). What immediately catches the eye are the front and rear wheels. They are the Starform-designed "Lavorante Sfidare" wheels. These racing-spec wheels are forged from aluminum, providing the lightweight characteristics of magnesium forging while maintaining strength and durability. As you can see, they look great on the MKII. The writer asked about the specifications of each part, assuming that this must be a newly built bike since the wheels are new, and the answer was a bit surprising.

"This bike was previously built and brought to us for a wheel replacement. Along with that, the handlebars were changed from a clip-on type to a bar type, the front brake calipers were replaced with radial mounts, and the discs were upgraded as well." The engine is a 1105cc with Wiseco forged pistons, Yoshimura ST-1 camshafts, and a BULL DOCK McCoy gear oil pump. The wheels complement the bike so well that one could mistake it for a newly built bike, enhancing its balance, lightness, and other features. The base part of the Complete Custom Z, including the 17-inch compatible frame and engine, was built at the beginning of its production. The bike's production, settings, and original parts have also evolved with the advancement of technology and the era. Therefore, it is not only the custom parts that stand out, but the entire bike as a whole has evolved. There is no doubt that this update will allow this bike to be enjoyed for a longer period of time and in a more comfortable manner.

Handle

This time, the handlebars have been replaced from a clip-on type to a bar type. The gauges have been based on the stock ones and converted into a white panel, with the addition of a Yoshimura digital multi-meter. The stem is made by McCoy and is compatible with 17-inch & Φ43mm forks, and the clutch has been replaced with a hydraulic drive. The left and right master cylinders are Brembo RCS.

Bodyworks

The fuel tank, featuring a square-shaped design is McCoy aluminum tank. Not only does it allow for significant weight reduction, but it also eliminates concerns about rusting.

The seat is McCoy Supreme. Both the urethane and the upholstery are optimized to enhance comfort and maneuverability. The material for the front and rear upholstery has also been changed.

The exterior combines MkII stock lines with a gradation of base colors from green on the tank through black on the body to green on the tail. Small blinkers were also chosen.

Engine

The engine is Wiseco forged Φ73mm pistons, increasing the displacement from the stock 1015cc to 1105cc. The camshaft is paired with Yoshimura ST-L1. The point cover, outboard & offset sprockets are made by McCoy. In this customization, the oil pump was renewed with the McCoy of the same gear type as the stock one.

The carburetor is set with Keihin FCR Φ35mm. The selection of the main bore diameter and the settings are adjusted to match the engine specifications and usage.

Chassis

The front forks, with a diameter of Φ43mm, are WinMccoy x Nitron with settings tailored to the GT-M. In this time, the front brake calipers have been changed from axial to radial mount, and now feature a combination of Brembo .434 calipers and Mccoy x Sunstar disc rotors.

The rear shock is a co-development by McCoy and Nitron. The swingarm is a special McCoy model made of 7N01. The notable wheels are Lavorante Sfidare (Black Paint) with a size of 3.50-17/6.00-17. The tires are Bridgestone S22, with sizes of 120/70ZR17 and 190/50ZR17.

The rear brakes feature Brembo CNC P2 calipers and McCoy x Sunstar collaboration disc rotors. Additionally, the WinMccoy
full titanium exhaust system is equipped."
