YOSHIMURA's MONKEY125

A red-based Monkey 125 fully painted in two-tone Yoshimura colors, this is one of the most powerful full custom model for 2020 Tokyo Motorcycle Show. It is the culmination of Yoshimura's Monkey 125 customization, and it shows that the Yoshimura is trying to offer a new style.

The rear also consists of short parts. It appears as though the bike has been designed in the European cafe racer style. The key to the style is Yoshimura's original meter visor, which is complemented by the low-style handlebar. These give the Monkey 125 a cool and sporty look. A fender eliminator kit shortens the rear more, giving this bike a street cafe style. The brake lever guards, reupholstered seat, and other parts were also thoughtfully added.

Bodyworks

An FRP visor and a racing number sticker are also included.

The fender eliminator kit is installed after removing the stock extension fenders. There is a cute cutout of a monkey's face.

The seat is made of one-off skin with red piping. The sides are also covered with a non-slip surface to support the rider.

The X-TREAD step kit completes the riding position and enhances the fun of riding this bike by increasing control.

The frame cap with an illustration of a monkey and banana is popular and fun.

Intake & Exhaust

This YOSHIMURA GP-MAGNUM Cyclone was developed pursuing high performance, sound, and styling to make the Monkey 125 an even more enjoyable bike while keeping the original look. The combination of the compact exhaust pipe and the GP-MAGNUM silencer provides an unbelievable performance from their sizes, and the weight was reduced by 54% to 2.3 kg (carbon cover) compared to 5.0 kg for the stock. Having a strong bass tone that can only be produced by a full exhaust, the sound is pleasing.

Chassis

In terms of functionality, GP-MAGNUM Cyclone TYPE-UP is installed, Ohlins rear shocks and the Yoshimura's initial adjusters are also installed in the front to increase power and make the chassis tough. All the Sunstar disc brake plates are used for the front and rear, and the drivetrain has Sunstar sprockets with an RK chain, all moderately tuned and mainly use on the street.
